Mount of stone
Onwards and upwards
Continuous roam

Searching high
Seeking more
Harder and harder
The snow a storm

The peak so far
Time trickles by
Oozing slowly
No end is nigh

But soldier on
Pushing our feet
Wet, cold, hurt
Bodies so weak

Never give up
Keep fighting
Aiming for the summit
The end inviting

Body cries out stop
Obeyed by feet
Too tough tonight
Everything too weak
Just a little rest
Just let me sleep
